LIGNOCELLULOSE – DIETARY FIBER
Lignocellulose is a fiber concentrate produced from fresh debarked wood or pure cellulose, transformed into functional fiber through an HPC fibrillation process. It’s composed by a high proportion of insoluble fibers (minimum 90%) with zero mycotoxin contamination. It has a positive effect on fecal consistency, litter quality, fermentation activity, and production of short-chain fatty acids, on protein digestibility, and plays a prebiotic role in providing raw material for the development of good intestinal microbiota. In addition, it stimulates water consumption due to its high absorption capacity and binding in the intestinal lumen and attends to the fiber requirements in low-inclusion diets, promoting the maintenance of gastrointestinal tract health in poultry and swine.
