Lupro-Cid® NA
Lupro-Cid® NA is an additive composed of buffered formic acid, sodium formate, and propionic acid, which are biologically active compounds combined effectively to enhance the benefits of both formic and propionic acids.
The combination of these acids provides the product with highly effective action against fungi, bacteria, and yeasts, while also being easy to handle and less corrosive. This product belongs to the family of substances classified as “irritants” and is not considered hazardous material according to transport regulations.
Lupro-Cid® NA can be safely used with fresh brewer’s yeast for pigs without nutrient loss. Likewise, it is suitable for use in whey and skim milk, ensuring preservation for several weeks and delaying microbial deterioration.
It is highly recommended for feed preservation, preventing deterioration caused by microorganisms or their metabolites, as well as reducing the buffering capacity and pH value of the feed. The acidifying effect of this preservative is particularly effective in controlling the development of fungi.
Another significant application of Lupro-Cid® NA is as an additive for silage production in large bales. The propionic component helps prevent fungal growth when the silage is exposed to air. The recommended dosage is 4 to 6 liters of Lupro-Cid® NA per ton of fresh grass for complete treatment. For other applications and dosages, please consult our team of specialists.
